Terms of Service
Effective April 8, 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Routalyzer ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Routalyzer is a network diagnostics platform that provides MTR analysis, a Looking Glass (remote ping/traceroute/MTR), and IP lookup tools. The Service is provided as-is for informational and diagnostic purposes.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to conduct unauthorised network scanning or reconnaissance against systems you do not own or have explicit permission to test
- Abuse or attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or usage quotas
- Automate requests in a manner that degrades service quality for other users
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or exploit the Service infrastructure
4. Accounts and Authentication
You may use core features without an account. Creating an account via Google or GitHub OAuth grants access to additional features including personal usage statistics. When signed in, your per-tool usage counts (MTR analyses, Looking Glass runs, IP lookups) are recorded and displayed on your account page. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Support & Paid Subscriptions
All tools are currently free to use with no enforced usage limits. A voluntary "Support the project" subscription tier is planned and will be made available through Stripe when ready. When billing is introduced, you will be clearly notified of pricing before any charge is made. Cancellation, refund, and billing terms will be published at that time.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that diagnostic results will be accurate in all circumstances. Network diagnostics are inherently dependent on third-party infrastructure outside our control.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Routalyzer and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or reliance on diagnostic output.
8. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be indicated by an updated effective date.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
